If you’re interested in tiny house living, but you’re not sure about giving up all of the amenities of a bigger house, the Escape King from Escape Homes might be the perfect solution for you. Escape creates tiny homes that take up very little space but provide a lot of the benefits and amenities that you would get living in a bigger home.
Tiny Living, BIG comforts
The Escape King is a 400 square foot tiny house. Unlike a lot of other tiny houses, it has a full kitchen, a king sized bed, and a 12’ x 12’ screened in porch. It also has a walk-in shower, optional washer and dryer units, as well as a fireplace. Not including the porch, the house is 12 feet wide by 44.6 feet long. Think you have what it takes to live in a tiny house that’s much smaller than this one? Find out in our article here.
As far as tiny houses go, this one is posh. One of the alternate floor plans even allows for a full bath tub, which is something most tiny houses just don’t have space for. It provides a surprising amount of indoor space without taking up a big piece of land. The Thermopane windows save energy and keep utilities low with good insulation to keep temperate air in and prevent leakage.
If you’re concerned with the environment and just want to live in a ready-made, smaller home that will give you all the amenities you need, this is an ideal choice. After all, the Escape King will still afford you much lower utility bills than a larger home would. You’ll also enjoy more space outside the house, as it only takes up 400 square feet.
The Escape King is a ready-made, pre-fabricated home. It’s eco-friendly and allows you a much more conscious and efficient living space than a full-size pre-fab home. Since it’s larger than other tiny houses, you won’t be able to hitch this one to the back of the station wagon and move your home to a lucky relative or friend’s backyard, but that’s not the point of this tiny house. If you want to take off to a new locale with the Escape King, you’re probably going to need to call the professionals to move it for you. So, find a good spot, stick around and enjoy this home for a while.
The Escape King is a beautiful example of how a tiny house can still have a lot of living space. It’s a great, eco-friendly alternative to bigger houses, but it’s not necessarily for the tiny house enthusiast who wants to be involved in the design and construction or if you want to be mobile on a whim.
It’s not cheap, but that’s because it’s not cheap…
At $93,900-134,400, purchasing an Escape King is not cheap. However, if you’re looking for a tiny house with all the comforts that you’re used to in a full size home, then the Escape is for you. It’s also an excellent option for a vacation cottage, office, or other getaway. You won’t have to worry about spending a lot of time on the build-out, the Escape King can be delivered to you, prebuilt. Escape prides itself on delivering homes that are ready to live in, so you can start enjoying the Escape King as soon as it arrives. With options like a double vanity, tiled steam shower, heated floors, and built-in-under-bed storage, the Escape provides the benefits of tiny house living, without the sacrifice.
